there is a reason the song is called "past-date poetry" and i think you touched on that :D

and for cyclical reasons, certain imagery repeats. in a sense, it's an essay with a thesis statement and a conclusion.

also, no guest spots because yet again, the album was basically recorded/mixed in less time than the first one, and it only happened because I was suddenly unemployed. it'd have only been Rai's album done if I had still be working on android dev. adding features would have taken time.

gotta interview me if you want more info though ;)

RL2 isn't as memorable as Romance Language, but is still a solid collection of tracks. Songs like "Distant Star and "Shutter" really show what Karl can do when he breaks out of his "default" flow and mixes it up a little. Also, the beat for Aim 4 the Top is delicious.

Also the lack of guest spots on RL2 [or any of Karl's recent stuff] surprises me, seeing as that's par for the course in the nerdcore community right now. Guess he just likes to do his own thing. d('-'d)

Great reviews. Two of my favorite nerdcore albums of late. Rai and Karl seem to be able to do no harm. Oh and Z, that rai/killsaly collab is still going to happen one of these days...
